Karina Hofbauer is the new Bavarian tennis champion

Triumph for Karina Hofbauer

Karina Hofbauer is the women's singles winner of the 2024 Bavarian Championships in Augsburg. The 20-year-old teaching student has been on the tennis court since she was a little girl. In 2024, she will receive the biggest title of her career by winning all five of her matches with flying colors. She was previously a member of TC Hengersberg, and has already set herself goals in her new club, TC Grün-Weiß Luitpoldpark Munich. She wants to advance to the 1st Bundesliga with the first team and to the Regionalliga with the 2nd team. The tennis player's personal goals are to improve her world rankings, which is why she will also be taking part in international tournaments from the summer, and to achieve good results in the major national women's tournaments.

Together towards success

Her boyfriend David Weber is always there, and his emotional support and coaching have played a major role in the 20-year-old's success. The two met through their shared interest in tennis and have been inseparable ever since. 22-year-old David also took part in the 2024 Bavarian Championships, but lost to the eventual finalist in the round of 16. This allowed the two to support and coach each other during the matches.
